JACKS footprint

JACKS is a VLA survey designed to complement the ALMA large project ACES, the ALMA CMZ Exploration Survey. JACKS will survey continuum emission in the entire ACES footprint, and measure emission from water masers, ammonia, and hydrogen recombination lines.

Spectral Setup:

JACKS lower sideband

Lower Sideband:
  • 22 GHz H2O maser
  • 5 non-metastable ammonia lines
  • H66 alpha
  • 1 GHz continuum bandwidth

JACKS upper sideband

Upper Sideband:
  • Ammonia (1,1) - (5,5)
  • H64 alpha
  • 2 GHz continuum bandwidth
